BILLING AND ACCOUNT QUESTIONS:

How do I cancel my server?
We have made the cancelling process very easy. To cancel your server you simply do not pay for your next invoice. That’s all. The moment the server expires it will auto shutdown and suspend. If you do not pay within 5 days after expiry, the server will be auto deleted and you will be required to place in a new order if you want a server again.

  1. We are not responsible if your server was deleted due to delayed payment.
  2. You cannot cancel your server during its contract period (Unless if its during the refund guarantee period which is 3 days after purchase)
  3. If you require a refund please contact STIPE directly.
  4. Paypal SUBSCRIPTION customers please contact STIPE or cancel you’re your subscription via Paypal.

How do I get a refund?
If you are not completely satisfied with your server and your contract is within the Refund Guarantee period which is 3 days after purchase then please contact STIPE to get your full refund. You can contact us by submitting a support ticket or by email.

CONTROL PANEL QUESTIONS:

Who made the control panel?
The Control Panel was created by a member of STIPE – [-STIPE-]CRaZY,  a Software Engineer who works fulltime for a large company which not related to servers or gaming. Many thanks goes to the members of STIPE and to our customers who have provided ideas and assisted with the testing of the control panel.

Can I buy this control panel for my own hosted servers?
Sorry, the STIPE Control panel is currently not for sale or rent at this time. We are working on a reseller program but there is no release date as of this stage. If you are interested feel free to contact us.

I’d like to report a bug or suggestion / feature request.
Please do! Email admin@stipe.info and describe the problem or submit a support ticket.  One of the reasons why we host our own control panel is because we can fix it ourselves rather than having to wait for a 3rd party company to bring out a patch.

SERVER AND TECHINCAL QUESTIONS

Where is the server located?
Sydney - We have multiple servers and some are located in different quality data centers within sydney.

Can I test the server before I buy?
We do have several public and private war servers for you to test if it’s available. However if you purchase a server and you’re not satisfied within 3 days, we will fully refund. So there is no risk when you buy from STIPE!

Does STIPE overload?
Ofcourse not! We use the servers for our own gaming too! We don’t want our own servers to lag so why should we overload?
Our golden rule: If all servers happen to be full at any one time, the box must NOT EVER reach more than 60% CPU and Memory Resources.  Our control panel has a special system in place to automatically stop new orders when the boxes have reached that 60% limit.

How many servers do you put in per a box?
This varies. We have multiple boxes and each box can handle certain amount of servers. Some boxes will only allow 8 instances of CSS while others can handle 40++. However we have a lock limit of 18 MAX per box no matter how good the box is.

What are the specs of your boxes?
Our average boxes are Dual Intel Quad Core Xeons and Core i7's. They contain about 12GB to 32GB of RAM. We are constantly upgrading so this message may already be out of date.

Why don’t you host other games? I think there’s some good money in X Game!
We specialise in Counter Strike Source games because that’s what we play! It’s just not about the money - we host products that we know inside and out so we can provide the best possible service. However if you do have a custom game in mind contact us and we will see what we can do for you.

What’s the tick rate?
By default its 66 Tick which we recommend. You can request for 100Tick on special conditions and without extra charges. (eg  if used as a Surf Server)

What’s the FPS?
Some boxes support up to 1000fps, while others are 500fps max. This FPS is SERVER Side, not CLIENT. Both provide the same great quality but some prefer 1000fps.

SPONSORSHIP QUESTIONS:

Can I/My clan get sponsored? I can provide XX amount of profit to STIPE by advertising!
We do offer sponsorships. However at this time all spots are taken. Most of the clans we sponsor are usually customers that have stayed with us for a long time and are doing well in the gaming industry. Having said that you are not guaranteed a sponsorship position if you rent a server with STIPE. Unfortunately we have to be quite selective as we get sponsorship requests every 5 hours (that’s not a joke)

VENTRILO QUESTIONS:

Is my ventrilo server a shared server?
Your ventrilo server is most certainly NOT shared. It’s your own server and you have full administration privileges. You decide who you want in and out of the server.

Is my ventrilo server licensed?
Our ventrilo servers are registered and licensed legally. We are proud to provide the highest quality licenced Ventrilo servers in Australia.

Can I buy ventrilo server without buying a game server?
Very soon! We are in the process ofbuilding a separate control panel just for ventrilo. (28/12/2009)

Where is the control panel for my Ventrilo control panel which is included with my game?
Select your game server via MY SERVERS section. Click on SERVER SETTINGS and you will find a button called VENTRILO .
